  37. Thank you, Joe.  I found a workaround in this particular case by
  38. testing for something else.  It's a bit of a kludge, but it does work
  39. (so far).  It would still be useful to be able to test for active
  40. sessions, just as it is possible to test for modem signals and response
  41. strings.
